What to know about Coronaviruses?

Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause illness in animals or humans. In humans, several coronaviruses are known to cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).

The most recently discovered coronavirus causes coronavirus disease COVID-19.

What kills Coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19)?

Coronaviruses are enveloped viruses, meaning they are one of the easiest types of viruses to kill with the appropriate disinfectant product and dwell time. Although the Coronavirus has been around for ~60 years, this is a new emerging strain of the Coronavirus, there is nothing currently available (to anyone) specifically labeled to kill it. While testing and research takes place, the EPA announced that it had triggered the emerging pathogen policy early 2020, allowing pre-approved companies to make off-label claims for disinfectants against harder to kill viruses.

No. 10324-93-5741) Both of these hospital grade disinfectants have a 10-minute dwell time and are labeled by the EPA to kill a broad range of spectrum of microorganisms.
